I'm a systems developer and technology industry analyst. I've developed systems for a fairly wide range of companies, specializing mostly in real-time control systems, real-time data delivery and analytics, executive information systems and in recent years database driven web sites that perform such functions. I've been increasingly using Ruby on Rails the past three years and am excited by its progress. I also enjoy writing technical documentation, and have occasionally done one-off jobs such as team training, performing project technology assessment and creating advertising copy and advertising strategy for commercially available high end systems.
